Do I need to pay it off or will it come off my credit history after 7 years? Also, is there a company that can help me out with this? I have a few utility bills that have gone to collection. Also a credit card, a cell phone bill that has gone to collection. I just don%26#039;t know what I need to do or how to get in touch with them as they are not contacting me.

If these debts are over 7 yrs. old, they should no longer be affecting your credit score. If they are not contacting you for payment, I%26#039;d let it go.

As for your cell phone or credit cards, they%26#039;ll keep calling you unless you pay, or , get their address, contact a lawyer and send them a %26#039;cease and desist%26#039; letter.

Either way the fact that you were delinquent will stay on your credit report for 7 + years.

Also the receipt of a %26#039;cease and desist%26#039; letter legally means they have to stop, if they don%26#039;t you can sue them, but they are still able to report it on your credit and even to bankrupt you.
