Can Credit Card bureaus forcefully take money...?

if the debts are hospital bills?

Can Credit Card bureaus forcefully take money...?

First of all, credit card companies cannot take your money before they win a civil suit against you. If you charged your hospital bill to your credit card, they are credit card bills and not hospital bills.

Can Credit Card bureaus forcefully take money...?

what is a credit card bureau?

Can Credit Card bureaus forcefully take money...?

The only ways (that I know of) that money can be %26quot;forcibly%26quot; taken from you is...

1) By the Internal Revenue Service

2) By court order

3) The bank - due to bounced checks, overdrafts, etc.

Other than that, there is no legal way (again, that I know of) that anyone can take money from you without your consent.

Credit bureaus only track and report your credit history. They don%26#039;t collect anything.

If you have unpaid hospital bills, they will probably be sent to a collection agency who will hound you for payment and eventually sue you. When they win in court, they get a judgment and can then attach your bank accounts or garnish your wages.

If you don%26#039;t pay your credit cards, the credit card companies will also take you to court and get a judgment.

The moral of the story is pay your bills.

Can Credit Card bureaus forcefully take money...?

Forced, as in walking into your house and emptying out your purse or wallet? No, of course not. No one can do that.

Credit card companies do not %26quot;force%26quot; anything. If one owes money to a credit card company, bank or business, they typically report the bad credit to a credit reporting bureau and turn over the account to a collection agency.

The collection agency can win a judgement against the debtor and this can mean that the agency can %26quot;garnish%26quot; the debtor%26#039;s wages to collect the money directly from his paycheck. If the debt is secured with a lien, then the agency can reposess or force the sale of the secured property.

Does this answer the question?

They need a court order to do that... after they have one, they most definitely can, and do.. they can also garnish your wages.
