The debts are mostly credit cards that refused to help when I called them. I switched jobs to try and save my marriage which didn%26#039;t work but I am left with the debt. A little warning to everyone...when you get into a relationship do not be quick to help them get out of trouble you can put youself there also and get the boot!

I HIGHLY recommend the sites listed below for help and advice. Take it one day at a time. Start with a budget.Eliminate anything that is not a neccessity. Pay what you can. Start with your neccessities first. home, auto, health, etc. With anything left over start paying the minimum on unsecured debt. If you have anything left over pay more than the minimum on the highest interest debt. When that is complete then roll those payments into the next highest etc. Good Luck!

Bankruptcy can be a great way to get a new start. Especially since it sounds like mostly credit cards. It easier to do than most people think.

if i had it to do over i wouldnt have declared bankruptcy. it makes it wicked hard to qualify for an apartment and guess what? we all need a place to live. paying down debt when you get over your head is hard, even with perseverance. if you really feel like you have no other choice, bankruptcy MIGHT be the right choice for you. but weigh all your options carefully first
