I have bad credit. Where can I get a loan ?

Either a loan for $5000, or a consolidation loan for about $20,000. I have no assets, no security. Need a monthly payment I can afford.

I always gave in to my ex-wife%26#039;s whims. Got in debt. Tore up credit cards 4 years ago. Now just pay as I go. And live simple. I don%26#039;t want any more debt, but I need to get to the Philippines someday soon, to marry and bring home my fiance. I have a good job. Been there since 2000. seems like your pretty much reformed, however your credit rating and public records pretty much screw you over. Right?

Think the best thing you can do right now is save and if you are truly reformed and cant get a credit card, get something called secured credit. Basically its credit with a sometimes large deposit.

You cant really get around using credit, not having credit cards is much worse. Theres no easy way around it. Raising your credit score will save you THOUSANDS of dollars when it comes to buying a home, getting a cell phone, and tons of other things. Sorry, sometimes the best way to get past a hurdle is break right through it.
